The London region has designed specific programmes which support the curriculum at all stages of education.


Big School has been designed to help with transition from Primary to Secondary school for Year 6 students. This can take place in the induction programmes designed by secondary schools for Year 6 in the summer term or in Year 7 in their first term. It is a half day programme over a 3 hour period of time.

In Business with the Games has been designed to meet the needs of the schools to improve the understanding and knowledge of the impact of the Olympic Games on London. It is delivered to Key Stage 4 and 5, 13 – 15 year olds.

Industry Masterclasses have been designed to meet the needs of the sector skills shortages in London and also to support the Specialist Trust Schools and Colleges. They will also support the future Specialised Diplomas which will be delivered in September 2008 in schools at Key Stage 4 and 5. It is usually a full day programme but can be delivered in 4 hours with specific areas chosen by the school being covered.
