  • In their weekly meeting the students have the support of a volunteer from business.

  • The company designs and makes a product or service to sell to the public.
  • Delivers aspects of work related learning.
  • Helps to develop and evidence key skills and enterprise capability.

Entrepreneurship Masterclass

Students are inspired and challenged to consider business start-up through first hand accounts from entrepreneurs.

  • Run as a full or half-day seminar.
  • Mixes hands-on activities with presentations and discussion.
  • Helps students to gain an appreciation of the personal qualities and skills of an entrepreneur.
  • Delivers aspects of work related learning and helps to develop enterprise capability.
  • Increases understanding of the practical aspects of setting up in business such as obtaining finance, negotiating contracts and retaining customers.
  • Introduces students to real entrepreneurs and business people.

Graduate

Students in Higher Education have the opportunity to test-out self-employment and business creation through setting up and running their own company.

  • Runs for up to 1 academic year.
  • The company is mentored by a volunteer from business.
  • Students raise share capital and finance the company themselves.
  • The company designs and makes a product or service to sell to the public.
  • Helps students to appreciate the potential of SMEs as future employers.
  • Promotes attitudes for personal success, lifelong learning and employability.
