I’m Just an ordinary 17-year-old girl studying for my A-levels but I signed up to do Young Enterprise because I love a challenge, especially if I am told that it’s something I can’t handle!

I also thought that it would be a good way to get organised, as you’ve got to be organised if you want to run a business. It has forced me to stay on task and has played a huge part in whipping me into working mode as I find that I can be a bit too relaxed at times. It has also done a lot for the team that I worked with as we all grew closer as a result of it, but it wasn’t always that easy though.

What’s really good about Young Enterprise is that it forces you to be in each other’s faces. The company just wouldn’t work if you weren’t always on each other’s case; you’re breaking a barrier by being so brazen and it eliminates that fear that a lot of people have about being strict or dominant.

I would definitely recommend anyone to be part of a Young Enterprise company. Not for the winning or the prizes, but for the challenge

At the risk of sounding cliché, I am going to say that I have become more confident and have grown closer to a lot of people that I never would have done otherwise. I have also learnt that running a business is nowhere near as easy and relaxed as I thought it would be.

I would definitely recommend anyone to be part of a Young Enterprise company. Not for the winning or the prizes, but for the challenge. It helped me to become more organised and has sort of helped me stop procrastinating, two of my biggest problems in the whole wide world. I can’t say that I’ve got it quite perfect yet, but I’m working on it!
