A successful London, with active citizens participating in the life of society, with more and better jobs, needs young people who leave education with the necessary skills to become lifelong learners and able to participate fully in working life in an ever changing world.
Young Enterprise London, a registered charity, provides young people in the city with direct experience of learning to work efficiently as individuals and as team members - both crucial qualities for continuing their personal and career development as adults.
Entrepreneurship programmes promoted by Young Enterprise London give practical help to schools and teachers to enable them to better respond to pupils learning needs.
The contribution to the delivery of every Young Enterprise London programme by business volunteers proves that the world of education and training is becoming more and more aware of the benefits of providing pupils with opportunities to practice entrepreneurship. Such experiences enable young people to be proactive, innovative and creative participants not only in the world of work but in society as a whole.
Young Enterprise London has a dynamic and professional staff team. There is a staff member for each of the 33 London boroughs, making us a truly pan London organisation.
Our Central office is based at Yeoman House in Farringdon. This is where the YEL support team and directors are based.
In the regions, staff are geographically located following the London Region Learning and Skills Council boundaries: North, South, East, West and Central.
Regional managers are responsible for the strategic development of each of these five areas. Working with them are area managers, development managers, enterprise officers and delivery officers.
We have an excellent corporate team who work with small, medium and larger companies to ensure their staff get the most from a volunteering experience.
