Queens Park Community School, North West London

These days in London the crime rate is going up, kids are using weapons and you could get robbed, knifed and shot. Personally, I’ve had friends go down that road but I’ve stayed focused because I have a dream- as I stay safe.

I’m doing a BTEC in Business and part of that is doing Young Enterprise, which is how I got involved. I can’t explain the amount of skills I’ve learned because of it as it’s just amazing; running my own business, and being clued in to business, is invaluable.

I’m so glad I did Young Enterprise as I always wanted to open my business when I was younger, but wouldn’t sure if I could. Now I know I can.

Our company recently represented London in Boston where we got to show our product- bamboo towels and scarves which are eco friendly which shows we are trying to make our community a better place.

I was so scared when I first started; had no confidence or knowledge of running the company but as time went by I grew a lot. My confidence and leadership has massively improved. It was hard to get people to listen, but as MD of the company it is my job to motivate.

My head is up higher than it has ever been before. For me, going to Boston (somewhere I always dreamed of going) and going to Harvard Business School showed me that, if I’m able to do this- I can do anything.
