Personal Economics helps pupils to build their self-esteem, improve their financial capability, and prepare for employment. Students reflect on their individual skills and qualities as a prelude to practising job-hunting, writing applications and job interviews. They also prepare for working life by producing personal and family budgets that tie-in with particular career choices.
Content and delivery:
The Personal Economics programme is run over five one-hour sessions presented in-curriculum by a business partner supported by a teacher partner.
These sessions can be delivered over a series of weeks or as a one or two day event.
