Young Enterprise Programmes provide all young people, regardless of their ability and background, an opportunity to nurture and realise their enterprise and financial capability as well as develop general business and economic understanding. Young Enterprise Programmes also contribute to the Key, Thinking and Life Skills as well as offering pupils and students a variety of routes into ‘Work-Related Learning’. Similarly, because volunteers from local business work in partnership with teachers and tutors support Young Enterprise programmes, there are many opportunities to give context and meaning to the school curriculum at Key Stage 1 to 4 and beyond.
